Who we are.
We are a results-oriented community advocacy group energizing, organizing and empowering local citizens to create a more inclusive and sustainable community. We are unflinching allies of marginalized communities. We hold elected officials responsible for defending our progressive values. We encourage responsible hyper-local activism. And we do not support unlawful or improper behavior.
What driveS us.
We’re driven by our members' unwavering passion for making an impact in changing our community for the better. We leave endlessly talking about change to other people. Our members are committed to doing the hard work required to support and affirm our citizens, especially those on the margins, and to ensure Aurora remains an inclusive and compassionate city.
When will you join us?
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." ― Margaret Mead
How we work.
In the current news environment a small progressive, community advocacy organization could get whiplash trying to keep up with all of the concerns to be addressed.
In order to remain effective in our mission, our primary directive is one of 'focus.' The filters we use in deciding on spearheading action on a policy or issue has always been, and remains, two simple queries:
- How does this issue impact Aurora?
- How can we influence or mitigate the impact?
We have been wildly successful by adhering to these two questions in the past and we will continue to let them guide our activity in the future.
Spread the word! The more fellow travelers who know about Indivisible Aurora, the more issues we can address and the more we can accomplish on your behalf. So post a link to our site on your Facebook page or Tweet about us.
