Parade Volunteers!
We need you! Volunteers for Operations, Floats, and Safety can sign up here.
Operations: Help with managing resources for the parade such as water, sanitation equipment, etc.
Floats: Help get parade units lined up, check insurance and COVID information as needed.
Safety: Help make sure attendees are clear of the parade route, and watch for parade rule compliance.
2022 - Aurora Pride Parade!
After careful consideration, Aurora Pride has decided that we’re going to hold a Pride Parade in Aurora on Sunday, June 12th, 2022.
We feel that because the event will be outdoors, that most of the population can be vaccinated, and that we can set rules for COVID safety for participants, we can make this a safe and fun experience.
However, we need your help to make the 2022 Aurora Pride Parade a reality.
Stay safe: We need you and your family and friends to be healthy!
Get vaccinated: If you’re not medically prohibited from getting vaccinated, please consider getting vaccinated and boosted. COVID-19 is worse than the vaccine’s side effects. The vaccine won’t just protect you, it will protect those you care about.
Mask up: Masks will help you stay safe, and protect those around you if you’re infected and don’t know it. Omicron is more transmissible, so use an N95, KN95, or KN94 if possible. If not, try filter inserts for cloth masks.
Volunteer: We’ll need your help to make this happen. Stay tuned.
Spread the word: We’re excited to be back!
Volunteers needed!
We’re getting ready for our Leaf Raking fundraiser, and we need you!
Sign up for a shift, and once we get 4 or so people on each shift, we’ll make it available for reservation in our online store. When it’s reserved, we’ll let you know, and see you there! The residents will provide yard waste bags and some may have rakes, but bring a rake if you have one just to be safe. Last year was lots of fun!
We hope to make this year’s fundraiser as successful as possible; all proceeds benefit Aurora Pride, including, hopefully, the 2022 Aurora Pride Parade!!!

Announcing the 2021 Aurora Pride Drive!
Sign up here for the June 13th Aurora Pride Drive! Last year’s hugely successful event is back for 2021. Decorate your home, business, or place of worship, and celebrate Aurora’s LGBTQ+ community with us! Decorate your vehicle, and tour the route past Aurora’s most exuberantly decorated locations! If you choose to submit a photo of your decor, you’ll be entered in the voting for a special prize!
Like last year, this event will allow us to gather in a safe, socially distant way, as well as providing donation boxes for non-perishable food items benefiting Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry.
Also, there are new buttons, stickers, and car magnets in the merch store! Check them out!
Due to COVID-19, we’re still not able to host the Aurora Pride Parade for 2021. Hopefully, if enough people keep wearing masks, practicing social distancing, and getting vaccinated, we can bring it back next year. However, we are still in discussions with the City of Aurora, and hope to bring you at least one event in partnership with them, so STAY TUNED for that and other Pride Month events!

Virtual Singing Telegram Fundraiser
Aurora Pride is selling virtual singing telegrams for Valentine’s Day. Visit our online shop to select a song. Our talented volunteers will record their performances, then Pride will send your warm wishes to friends and family.
Telegrams are available in 3 formats:
General ($10): Aurora Pride will send an email to the recipient telling them that you have sent a singing telegram. The email will contain a link to the song.
Personalized ($25): The video will be specific to the recipient. The video will contain slides with the recipient’s name, the sender’s name, and an optional brief message from the sender.
Custom ($50): The recipient will get a personalized (as described above), PLUS the performer will mention the recipient in the video. Quantities are limited.
